Welcome to the Chapel Street Hall, fondly referred to as the Chapel on Chapel. Our historic venue is nestled in the heart of downtown Nanaimo. Built in the early 1900s, the Chapel St. Hall encapsulates a classical revival era of architecture that has witnessed the passage of time.
Our family is committed to preserving the authenticity of the heritage space with its large vintage frosted windows and hard wood flooring. Keeping with a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Since the 1930s the Chapel has operated as the location for Nanaimo’s Christian Science Church. Since our purchase of the space in 2023, we’re looking to open the space to our community and invite you to explore the possibilities the Chapel on Chapel holds for your events.
Size Details
The 900sq. foot main hall boasts large ceilings, big frosted windows, and a step-up main stage. Behind the hall is access to a smaller “flex room” where you can keep supplies. Plus a cozy sitting area.
Chapel Street Hall can accomodate up to 80 people.
Features
An elevated stage perfect for public speaking, ceremonies, and performances. A Sonos sound system that is Wi-Fi connected.
Downstairs holds a single bathroom and a prep space with counters, fridge, and kitchen amenities.
The Chapel Street Hall keeps 6 conference style tables (72” x 30”) and 24 folding chairs for your use.

$200 deposit required
WEEKDAY PRICING: $60/hour- 2 hour minimum +GST
WEEKEND PRICING: $80/hour- 4 hour minimum +GST
*Additional four hour blocks are priced 25%off*
24 Hour Rental Rate: $1000 +GST
